Following Oklahoma’s win over Baylor in the Big 12 title game, and ESPN host sent out what turned into a controversial message.
Oklahoma’s win over Baylor on Saturday had Mike Greenberg laughing at Nick Saban. The “Get Up” host wished he had a camera on Nick Saban when Jalen Hurts led the Sooners to the playoff.
“Nick Saban watching Jalen Hurts in the playoff would be among the great last laughs in the history of sports,” Greenberg said.
Alabama and Oklahoma fans alike weren’t happy with Greenberg’s decision to hit “send” on that tweet.
Saban would be happy for Jalen. Was he supposed to start Jalen ahead of Tua? Was Jalen supposed to sit at UA instead of start for a contender? https://t.co/Kh6OgHrffm

Oklahoma seemingly booked its ticket to the College Football Playoff with a win over Baylor in the Big 12 title game. Now the Sooners have to wait for other conference title games to play out to see if, in fact, they’ll be in the playoff once again.
If LSU beats Georgia today, Oklahoma likely lands the final spot in the playoff. The Tigers have an early 14-3 lead over the Bulldogs, which is great news for the Sooners.
Last year, Hurts took over for an injured Tua Tagovailoa in the SEC title game to lead the Crimson Tide to the playoff.
Now he’s likely to be back in the big dance with Oklahoma.
