With the MLB and NFL waiting on Kyler Murray to fully commit to one career path, the intriguing athlete is facing criticism for the way his current situation is playing out.

It's hard to blame Murray for taking his time with so much at stake, but the lack of clarity is truly causing a stir around the NFL.

One major issue taking place right now is that Murray's father is running the show behind the scenes.

This glaring problem was magnified on national television during the Dan Patrick Show last week. Despite the fact that executives involved in two professional leagues are waiting to hear his final decision, Murray has basically gone silent.

Even though Murray has hinted that he wants to play football, the dual-threat quarterback hasn't confirmed that he'll pursue that dream. Instead, there is concern growing about the advice he's receiving from close family members.

According to Matt Miller of Bleacher Report, Murray's father is assuming the responsibilities of an agent right now, which could influence the Heisman Trophy winner into the wrong direction.

From Bleacher Report:

"He's still going in the first [round], but he needs to get an agent and do it the right way," one person told Miller. "This is Lavar Ball all over again," another NFL insider said, referencing Murray's dad managing the situation.

Murray has the potential to succeed at the next level, but he'll need to allow an agent to guide him through this challenging process. It's extremely rare for an athlete to have offers to play multiple sports, and that alone can complicate matters.

It'll be important for Murray to squash all these negative vibes surrounding himself before it affects his stock for the NFL Draft.
