Oklahoma Announced That Leading Rusher Keith Ford Is Out 2-3 Weeks With Leg Fracture

Oklahoma sophomore running back Keith Ford has had a very solid start to the season, with 194 rushing yards and five touchdowns to his name, but the Sooners have announced that he will be out for this weekend's Big 12 contest against West Virginia, and will miss a few weeks due to injury.

Ford picked up 91 total yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 34-10 win over Tennessee. His final touch of the game was a one yard rush, which was the last play of the third quarter.

With Ford out, expect to see freshman Samaje Perine and sophomore Alex Ross carry the load for the Sooners, and for Trevor Knight to take on a bigger chunk of the offense. If there are kinks to be worked out on that side of the ball, West Virginia is not a bad opponent to have.
