Oklahoma has announced who will back up Baker Mayfield.
The Oklahoma Sooners are one of the few college football programs with a definite starting quarterback heading into the 2017 season. But who will back up Heisman Trophy contender Baker Mayfield.
Monday, Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley announced that Kyler Murray will serve as Mayfield's backup.
Murray reportedly beat out Austin Kendall, who will redshirt the season.
