Oklahoma has added some depth to its secondary before the 2019 season with the addition of Clemson graduate transfer safety Austin Jackson.
According to The Oklahoman, Jackson was listed on the updated Sooner roster that was released last night. He spent the last two seasons at Clemson.
Jackson began his college career at East Tennessee State in 2015, where he recorded 32 tackles in nine games. After transferring to Clemson and redshirting the 2016 season, he appeared in a pair of games each of the last two seasons for the Tigers.
Jackson will be eligible immediately at OU. On the surface, it doesn’t appear he’ll play a major role, but he adds another body to the mix and could factor in on special teams.
