Oklahoma will host a coveted graduate transfer this weekend.

Notre Dame defensive lineman Jay Hayes will take an official visit to Norman this weekend. Hayes is set to graduate from ND and will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Hayes will be on campus for the Sooners' annual spring game.

A former four-star recruit out of Brooklyn (N.Y.) Poly Prep, Hayes started all 13 games at defensive end for the Irish last fall. He recorded 27 tackles, four quarterback hurries, two pass breakups and one sack.

Hayes played in 10 games in 2016 after redshirting during the 2015 season. He made his college debut late in the 2014 campaign.

Hayes established himself as a strong run defender, and he'd be a solid pickup for the Sooners or any college program. The development of Khalid Kareem should help ease his loss for the Irish.

Oklahoma's annual spring game will be held this Saturday. The Sooners will open up the 2018 season against FAU on Sept. 1.
