The fifth week of the college football season features a handful of marquee matchups, which includes a Big 12 showdown between Oklahoma and Texas Tech.
Oklahoma has looked dominant through its first three games of the season. Jalen Hurts is proving that he's one of the best quarterbacks in the country, throwing for 880 yards and nine touchdowns.
As for Texas Tech, the program recently lost to Arizona on the road. Starting quarterback Alan Bowman is out for several weeks because of a shoulder injury.
Due to uncertainty at quarterback for the Red Raiders, the Sooners are the overwhelming favorites to win this game. ESPN's Football Power Index gives Oklahoma a 93.1 percent chance of defeating Texas Tech.
Here are the details for the Oklahoma-Texas Tech game:
Game Time: 12:00 PM ET
Spread: Oklahoma -27
Announcers: Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt, Jenny Taft
There's a very good chance this game turns into a shootout. Oklahoma is averaging 676 yards per game on offense, meanwhile Texas Tech is averaging 508.7 yards each contest.
With an extra week to prepare for this conference showdown, the Sooners may have added a few new wrinkles to their offense.
We'll see if Hurts can help his Heisman campaign with another strong performance.
