Oklahoma vs. Dayton – Game Time, TV Channel, Announcers, Betting Line, Predictions

Dayton, the No. 11 seed, advanced out of the First Four and knocked off No. 6 seed Providence Friday night, while third-seeded Oklahoma handled Albany. Now, these two teams will battle for the right to head to the Sweet 16. Oklahoma is the favorite in this match-up, but Dayton is playing in its home state and has plenty of tournament experience after reaching the Elite Eight in 2014. Fun stat: Dayton head coach Archie Miller is 5-1 in tournament action, with all of those games coming as a No. 11 seed

Date: Sunday, March 22

Time: 6:10 PM EST

TV Channel: TNT

Location: Columbus, OH

Announcers: Ian Eagle, Doug Gottlieb, Evan Washburn

Opening Betting Line: Oklahoma -4 (5Dimes)

Prediction: The Sooners receiving a No. 3 seed was met with some raised eyebrows, but they are a legitimate contender in a wide-open East Region. Forward TaShawn Thomas (18 points) and guard Buddy Hield (15 points) paced OU in the second round win over Albany.

Dayton is on a roll, but will be playing its sixth game in 10 days. Does the trio of Dyshawn Pierre, Jordan Sibert and Scoochie Smith have another upset in them? We will see, but in terms of a prediction, we like the Sooners to squeeze one out in a defensive battle and advance to their first Sweet 16 since 2009.
