Oklahoma vs. TCU preview:

Oklahoma entered the season No. 3 in the Coaches Poll, and is now unranked, so it's safe to say the season is going quite poorly for the Sooners. A win against TCU would not only give them some confidence and legitimacy, it'd also help them immensely in their hunt for a Big 12 championship. After getting eaten alive by Ohio State two weeks ago, 45-24, this is a team desperate to prove there's still some fight left in them. The Sooners have plenty of offensive weaponry to get it done in QB Baker Mayfield, and RB's Samaje Perine and Joe Mixon.

TCU is coming into the game after two weeks of lopsided wins in which the defense looked as if it had finally found its identity. Last week the Frogs held SMU to a field goal while putting up 33 and they're leading the Big 12 with 14 sacks. The only blemish on the Frogs' resume is a double-overtime loss against Arkansas, their only quality opponent this year, and they'll be looking to show everyone that this TCU team is legit with a big win over the Sooners.

Oklahoma won last season's contest, 30-29. The Sooners also lead the series 10-5 when facing the Horned Frogs.

Oklahoma vs. TCU prediction:

Oklahoma had an off-week to prepare, but TCU is in a rhythm offensively and is playing at home. I think they finally get a statement win over an Oklahoma team that can't keep the Frogs away from their quarterback. It's close the entire way, but TCU gets a pivotal takeaway and capitalizes to seal the win.
