Paul Finebaum Reacts To Jalen Hurts' Oklahoma Transfer

Paul Finebaum makes comments about roy Williams.

Following Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts' announcement that he would be leaving the Crimson Tide and joining the Oklahoma Sooners, many experts have weighed in on the decision. One of the top SEC analysts, Paul Finebuam, gave his thoughts on Wednesday afternoon.

The host of The Paul Finebaum Show seemed to express delight at the move, and went so far as to suggest that Hurts could be a finalist for the Heisman trophy next season.

Jalen Hurts to Oklahoma! And how cool would it be to see him sitting in the front row next December at the Heisman.

It certainly isn't out of this world to suggest that Hurts' move to Oklahoma could propel him into the Heisman race.

Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray, the last two Heisman trophy winners, both transferred to Oklahoma from Texas Tech and Texas A&M respectively before record-setting campaigns under Lincoln Riley's guidance.

Hurts has already seen his Heisman trophy odds rise in the wake of the news, as has Oklahoma's national title odds.

The 20-year-old Hurts was Alabama's starter in 2017, but was pulled at halftime of the National Championship Game in favor of Tua Tagovailoa.

After Tagovailoa led a comeback and won the national title, he eventually beat out Hurts for the starting job in 2018.

Hurts ended up playing only sparingly in the 2018 season, but led Alabama to an SEC Championship win over Georgia in relief of an injured Tagovailoa.
