Oklahoma received some huge news on Sunday evening, as quarterback Baker Mayfield has reportedly passed concussion tests for the second straight day after leaving Saturday's win over TCU early. NewsOKhas more on this development:
Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield passed concussion tests given to him both during Saturday's win over TCU and Sunday, and his removal from the game after halftime was precautionary, according to sources close to the program.
OU medical staff will continue to monitor Mayfield's status over the next couple days, but the signs so far appear good for Mayfield's chances to play in next weekend's season finale at Oklahoma State, where the Sooners can secure the Big 12 championship.
Also of note, Mayfield is set to speak to the media tomorrow, which is a positive sign.
