247Sports Ranked Oklahoma Commit Spencer Rattler No. 1 At Elite 11 Finals

Oklahoma commit Spencer Rattler sets to throw.

Oklahoma has done a pretty good job with quarterbacks over the last few years. Next up could be Spencer Rattler, who may be the best signal caller in his class.

The class of 2019 quarterback announced his commitment to OU last June. He was the second member of Oklahoma's class, and has helped set the tone for the rest of the group, which is one of the best in college football right now.

Rattler was named as one of the "Elite 11" quarterbacks after the finals of that event over the weekend. That earns him an invite to The Opening Finals later this summer.

Some think he was the best QB at the event over the weekend. From 247Sports:

Three quarterbacks separated themselves by consistently being in the top group of signal callers and Rattler was the most dynamic for us. He’s a play maker who has the ability to beat a defense with his arm or his legs and has a presence about him that should make him a natural leader in college.

Spencer Rattler is currently the No. 1 ranked quarterback in the class.

247Sports ranks him No. 1 overall at his position, and No. 1 among pro-style throwers. Auburn's Bo Nix, another Elite 11 player, is the No. 1 dual threat quarterback.

Like recent OU star Baker Mayfield, Rattler isn't hurting for self-confidence either. The Athletic's Chantel Jennings recently profiled him, and got this great quote:

“I definitely feel like I can throw with any quarterback in the country, high school or college-wise,” he says. “I won’t say NFL, but I can make some NFL throws, for sure.”

Oklahoma fans got more good quarterback news over the last few days as well. Despite being selected No. 9 overall in the MLB Draft, it appears that projected starting quarterback Kyler Murray will be back with the Sooners football team this fall.
