A Texas football star has a message for Oklahoma following the news of Jalen Hurts' transfer into the Sooners' program.

Hurts, the backup Alabama quarterback, announced this afternoon his decision to transfer to Oklahoma.

The quarterback will be eligible to play right away and is expected to start behind center.

Texas' star wide receiver, Lil'Jordan Humphrey, as a message for the Sooners in the wake of Hurts' decision.

"That (hat) going to stay in Austin tho! Believe dat," he tweeted.

Humphrey is referencing the Golden Hat, which is given to the winning team in the Red River Showdown.

Texas won it this past season, upsetting Oklahoma, 48-45.

The Sooners went on to beat the Longhorns in the Big 12 Championship Game, though the hat wasn't on the line for that contest.

Texas and Oklahoma are set to play on Saturday, Oct. 12. Both teams should be contending for the Big 12 championship and a College Football Playoff spot this upcoming season.
