The annual Texas vs. Oklahoma football game played at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas is officially being rebranded. The matchup between the Longhorns and Sooners, which is also a Big 12 conference game, will now be known as the AT&T Red River Showdown. It was previously named the Red River Rivalry. Both schools announced the news Friday afternoon.
Texas leads the all-time series 60-43-5 and won this past year's matchup 36-20. Prior to the 2013 contest, however, Oklahoma had won three games in a row.
