Every season, Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay debate which quarterback prospects should be first-round picks in the upcoming NFL Draft. With Kyler Murray nearing his decision to play professional football or baseball, the two draft experts gave their current projections on the Oklahoma superstar.
Kiper believes Murray’s height would result in him becoming a second-round selection. However, McShay doesn’t see his size as a detriment to his draft status.
McShay thinks the Sooners’ quarterback has the versatility and physical tools that translate well in today’s generation of quarterbacks.
Here is the clip of the two analysts discussing Murray’s potential:

Unfortunately, Murray might never have the chance to show how great he could possible be in the NFL, as the first-round pick of the Oakland Athletics is set to join the MLB.
Last season, there were concerns about Baker Mayfield’s stature, yet he still was the No. 1 overall pick. Clearly, talent and production are equally important when evaluating quarterbacks.
While Murray’s collegiate career is coming to an end, he’ll have the chance to win the Heisman Trophy and the national championship.
