While there are several stars on the field during the Oklahoma game, there's also a notable star off the field as well. Former Oklahoma point guard Trae Young is in attendance this afternoon.
Young only played one season with the Sooners, but it was an incredible run for the sharpshooting guard. He averaged 27.4 points and 8.7 assists per game as a freshman.
Following his freshman year at Oklahoma, Young entered the NBA Draft. The Atlanta Hawks made a trade during the 2018 NBA Draft to acquire his services.
In his rookie season, Young battle Luka Doncic for the Rookie of the Year award. Although he didn't win the hardware, the Hawks have to be pleased with his development.
With the 2019-20 regular season still a couple of weeks away, the former Sooner is at OU Memorial Stadium to watch the football team.
