Tua Tagovailoa is in New York for the upcoming Heisman Trophy ceremony, where he and his College Football Playoff semifinal counterpart Kyler Murray are dueling it out for the sport’s highest honor.
It is the most dramatic Heisman race we’ve had in a few years. Tua was the favorite for most of the year, but a sub-par outing, followed by an injury in the SEC Championship Game against Georgia, paired with another spectacular game by Kyler Murray in the Big 12 Championship win over Texas, has the race extremely close.
Murray is now a decent favorite, at least as far as the sportsbooks are concerned. It is still expected to be a very close race.
According to OddsShark, the money continues to flow towards the Oklahoma two-sport star.
Kyler Murray is getting steamed over at @betonline_ag.
He's moved from -220 to -280 in Heisman odds in the last four hours.

The ever-humble Alabama quarterback would probably tell you that the award is nice, but its far from the most important thing that he has coming up.
That would be the College Football Playoff game, and while Jalen Hurts performed admirably in the win over Georgia, Tagovailoa is the higher ceiling player.
Earlier, Tua Tagovailoa said that he planned to be out of his walking boot for the ceremony.
That became a reality, and it is a very good sign for his status moving forward.

Tua’s definitely looking sharp tonight. We’ll see if he has a trophy to bring home with the outfit, but either way, we know he’ll be happy with his undefeated record, and chance at a second straight national title.
