When Was The Last Time Oklahoma Reached The Final Four?

The Oklahoma Sooners, owners of a 25-7 record in 2015-2016, will take the floor in Anaheim Thursday night against Texas A&M with a spot in the Elite Eight on the line. OU, the 2-seed in the West region, will be looking to advance to its first Elite Eight since Blake Griffin led the Sooners to three NCAA Tournament victories back in 2009. When was the last time the Sooners reached the Final Four however, you ask?

Oklahoma last reached the Final Four back in 2002. Hollis Price led OU to wins over Illinois Chicago, Xavier, Arizona and Missouri before bowing out to Indiana. It was the fourth time the program had reached the Final Four - and it remains their most recent trip.

Oklahoma, behind the offensive brilliance of Buddy Hield, may have its best opportunity in quite some time this year. If Oklahoma can get by Texas A&M, they will get the winner of Oregon vs. Duke on Saturday.

Oklahoma vs. Texas A&M will tip off at 7:37 PM ET on TBS.
