A major college basketball program announced some major roster news today, dismissing three players from its program.

Oklahoma State announced this afternoon that guard Michael Weathers and forwards Maurice Calloo and Kentrevious Jones have been kicked off the team.

The three players have been dismissed for a violation of team rules.

''We have a standard of behavior that we expect from everyone in our program, and we're going to move forward with the people who want to abide by those standards,'' head coach Mike Boynton said.

''I wish the others well as they move on.''

Oklahoma State has had a rough first half of the 2018-19 season, as the Cowboys are 8-9 and 2-3 in the Big 12.

The Cowboys are now down to nine available players on its roster.

Oklahoma State is set to play Iowa State on Saturday.
