After two straight Big 12 wins at home, Oklahoma State travels to Kansas for its first conference road test. The Cowboys are 4-1 overall, suffering their only defeat in the season opener against Florida State.
Kansas lost 33-14 at West Virginia in its first game since firing former head coach Charlie Weis. The Jayhawks sit at 2-3 on the season and need to turn things around soon to have any shot at playing in a postseason contest.

Prediction: Since the narrow loss to Florida State, the Cowboys have been very impressive, especially on offense, scoring 37 or more points per game in every contest. That being said, they haven’t faced stiff competition quite yet. Oklahoma State’s wins are over Missouri State, UTSA, Texas Tech and Iowa State. Kansas is probably the last test run before the schedule gets tougher.
Oklahoma State quarterback Daxx Garman threw for 370 yards and four touchdowns against a porous Red Raiders defense. He followed that up with 271 yards and one touchdown in Oklahoma State’s 37-20 victory last week against the Cyclones. In each game, he did throw two interceptions. Kansas will need to count on him turning the ball over if it wants to hang around.
This could be a bit of a trap game for Oklahoma State, considering it gets TCU next week. We’ll take OSU to win, but Kansas to cover the large spread.
