Oklahoma State guard and top NBA prospect Cade Cunningham is already making headlines just six games into his college hoops career.
Cunningham, the No. 1 recruit in the 2020 class, joined the Cowboys just a few months ago, yet he’s already become the Big 12 program’s leader. He cemented his status as one of college basketball’s brightest prospects Saturday afternoon.
Cunningham shot four of 11 for just 10 points against Wichita State, but three of those points proved to be the difference. Tied at 64 apiece with just over 10 seconds remaining, the Oklahoma State star pulled up behind the NBA three-point line and drained the go-ahead shot.
Wichita State couldn’t come up with an answer on the other end. Cunningham is already a hero at Oklahoma State.
Take a look at his game-winning shot below.

All aboard the hype train. Cade Cunningham is already a star for the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
The 6-foot-6 guard has everything the NBA wants in a college prospect. He’s strong and has an NBA frame. He also possesses a rare passing ability, given his height.
Cunningham is also excellent finishing at the rim. The only question mark surrounding the talented prospect is his shooting ability. It looks like he’s already improving in that department, evident by his go-ahead three-point shot to stun Wichita State Saturday afternoon.
We’re looking forward to watching the rest of Cunningham’s season play out at Oklahoma State in coming months.
