Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray is slated to replace Baker Mayfield this fall. During the spring, he stars for the Sooners on the baseball diamond.
Baseball might be Murray’s future calling. He could be selected early in next month’s MLB Draft and he was named Honorable Mention All-Big 12 this season.
However, both Oklahoma football coach Lincoln Riley and baseball coach Skip Johnson can’t be too happy about what happened to Murray today. While rounding first base on an RBI single that put the Sooners ahead 1-0 against Texas in the Big 12 Tournament, Murray appeared to injure his ankle.
It didn’t look serious but he did exit the game after the half-inning ended. We’ll have to see if it is something that will keep him out of action for long.
Here is video of Murray tweaking his ankle.

We’ll likely have an update on Murray’s status after the game. Stay tuned.
