Bloomberg News’ Sara Forden is reporting that the Big East is suing TCU in federal court for the $5 million it never surrendered after reneging on its membership agreement from 2010. TCU had originally agreed to join the Big East in late 2010, but left the conference before the move even became official.

The Big East has been involved in numerous lawsuits the past few years, many relating to buyout fees for teams bolting the conference.
