Spartans Pull Off Comeback, Top TCU In Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl

Despite woeful offenses, this game was still entertaining.

Score: 17-16 Michigan State

Stars:Le'Veon Bell - MSU, 32 carries, 145 rush yards, TD

Story: Plain and simple, this game was a tale of two halves. The first half ended with TCU having a 13-0 lead after Michigan State couldn't figure out anything on the offensive end -- calling the Spartan offense inept might have be a compliment after thirty minutes of play. Head coach Mark Dantonio decided his offense needed a spark and threw freshman quarterback Connor Cook into the fire -- he had only thrown six passes all year prior to the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl -- but he responded by throwing his first career touchdown pass to Aaron Burbridge. Dantonio rotated both Cook and senior Andrew Maxwell throughout the second half, but ultimately decided to put the freshman in for the final drive, where he promptly moved them down the field for a game-winning 49-yard field goal by Dan Conroy.
