TCU QB Trevone Boykin Did Not Undergo Wrist Surgery Despite Earlier Report Saying He Will Miss 4-6 Weeks

One of the biggest surprises in the Big 12 this year has been the play of TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin. With Boykin under center, the Horned Frogs have gone 4-1 on the season, and had a huge win against Oklahoma in Fort Worth on Oct. 4.

Earlier today, it was reported that TCU's quarterback will miss the next 4-6 weeks after undergoing wrist surgery, and that Texas A&M transfer Matt Joeckel would start at quarterback for the next few weeks. However, that report ended up being refuted by TCU coach Gary Patterson.

In 2014, Boykin has completed 57.7 percent of his passes for 1,463 yards with 11 touchdowns and two interceptions. He has also ran for 305 yards with three touchdowns. Needless to say, TCU fans are probably ecstatic that their star quarterback is healthy.

The Horned Frogs will take on No. 15 Oklahoma State on Saturday in Amon G. Carter Stadium. The game will kick off at 4:00 P.M. EST, and you can watch it on Fox Sports 1.
