We're roughly two and a half months away from the start of college football season. Texas will be looking to build on a strong 2018 campaign.

The Longhorns won 10 games for the first time in nearly a decade, including a victory over Oklahoma in the regular season and Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. When the preseason polls are released late this summer, Texas will likely be a top-10 team.

Yesterday, online oddsmaker BetOnline.ag unveiled betting lines for dozens of Week 1 games, including Texas' season-opener against Louisiana Tech. Not surprisingly, the Longhorns are heavy favorites.

Texas has been installed as a 20-point favorite over the Bulldogs.

Now, while UT has high expectations and is expected to roll over Louisiana Tech, the Bulldogs aren't patsies by any means. They went 8-5 last season and have made five-straight bowl games under Skip Holtz.

Additionally, Louisiana Tech has won all five of those games, including a 31-14 win over Hawaii in the Hawaii Bowl last season.

Texas' opening game will kick off at 8 p.m. ET on August 31.

It will be broadcast on the Longhorn Network.
