Charlie Strong Says Texas QB David Ash Is 'Out Indefinitely'

David Ash will not be returning to the playing field any time soon.

The Texas starting quarterback, who suffered concussion-like symptoms following a hit he took against North Texas, missed the Longhorns' game against BYU this past weekend. Today, Charlie Strong said that Ash, who missed 10 games in 2013 with a concussion, is "out indefinitely."

Many have called for Ash, with his history of head injuries, to retire from football all together.

Texas faces UCLA this weekend. The Longhorns were blown out by BYU last Saturday, 41-7.
