Daniel Young originally committed to Tom Herman back at Houston back in September. Now, he'll join the coach at Texas.
After decommitting from the Cougars earlier in the week, Young announced his commitment to the Longhorns this afternoon.
His full note on Twitter:
"First off I have to thank god and my family for everything and with the support of my family and friends I would like to announce I am committing to the University of Texas #HookEm"
Texas staffer Bryan Carrington is pretty pumped about Young's decision.
247Sports ranks Young No. 63 among all 2017 running backs, and No. 130 in the state of Texas.
With Young in the fold, Texas now has 11 commits in the recruiting class, a group ranked 30th in the country.
Herman has some work to do before National Signing Day in February, but we're pretty confident he'll close out this class strong, based on what he was able to pull off at Houston.
