NBA superstar Kevin Durant will reportedly make a decision regarding his next contract in the coming days - after meeting with a number of different teams over the weekend. If he chooses to play for the Boston Celtics, we'll know that at least two fellow superstars in Beantown had an influence.
Saturday, it was reported that New England Patriots star quarterback Tom Brady sat in on the Celtics' pitch to Durant in the Hamptons. It looks like another Boston athlete - Red Sox DH David Ortiz - was invited, but couldn't make it. He instead took to Twitter to pitch Durant in public.
">@KDTrey5 sorry I couldn't make the meeting today but Brady will tell u they don't call Boston the City of Champions for nothing

Will it be enough to sway Durant to leave OKC for Boston? If so, the Celtics are going to be loaded.
