Watch: Texas Promotes Star RB D'Onta Foreman For Heisman With Highlight Video

D'Onta Foreman, Texas' star running back, has broken into the Heisman talks with a string of huge performances. Texas is now officially campaigning for the Longhorn rusher.

Outside of the UTEP game, which he missed, Foreman has been an absolute workhorse for Charlie Strong, rushing for at least 124 yards in every game this year, touching the ball no fewer than 18 total times in a single game. For the year, Foreman has 1,446 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground, good for No. 2 and No. 6 in the country respectively.

Texas is now openly campaigning for Foreman for the Heisman Trophy, with a pretty impressive highlight reel along with the hashtag #HEISforeMAN.

Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson appears to be running away with the Heisman with a few weeks left in the season, with Washington and Clemson quarterbacks Jake Browning and Deshaun Watson also in the discussion, as well as Michigan do-it-all star Jabrill Peppers. In a year that was supposed to be dominated by running backs like Leonard Fournette, Christian McCaffrey, and Dalvin Cook, it is Foreman and San Diego State star Donnel Pumphrey that have wound up being the most productive rushers in college football.

Texas hosts 7-1 West Virginia this Saturday in Austin.
