ESPN Clarifies That Mack Brown Will Discuss Texas As An Analyst

On on a Tuesday conference call, new ESPN analyst Mack Brown said that he and his successor at Texas Charlie Strong agreed that he would not discuss his former team on the network. Today, ESPN has clarified Brown's statement, and said that he will talk about the team, just not directly in interviews specifically about Texas.

This makes much more sense, especially because Strong's Texas program is a huge storyline for the 2014 season. While it is true that Brown will probably get heat for whatever he says about the Longhorns, from those who think he is a homer or that he is bitter, that is the case with almost any personality on ESPN. It would be a shame to miss out on Brown's insight, even if others think it should be taken with a grain of salt.
