The top comment from this Saturday’s edition of College GameDay belongs to Desmond Howard. During this weekend’s show, the former Michigan star made a hilarious remark about Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian.
“The Steve Sarkisian era begins at Texas,” Howard said on College GameDay. “It seems like he’s coached everywhere except Bishop Sycamore. This guy has been all over.”
For those who are unaware about Bishop Sycamore, the “football powerhouse” duped ESPN by lying about is roster prior to a nationally televised game last Sunday against Florida powerhouse IMG Academy. It was a huge scandal that took over the sports world, as Bishop Sycamore’s location, practice facilities and roster eligibility could not be verified.
Howard’s joke may have went over some fans’ heads, as he was poking fun at the fact that Sarkisian has already had coaching stints with Alabama, Texas, USC and Washington.

There’s a lot of optimism surrounding Texas now that Sarkisian is the head coach. Of course, that could quickly change if the Longhorns don’t generate positive results on Saturdays.
Sarkisian’s run as the head coach of the Longhorns begins this Saturday afternoon against the Ragin’ Cajuns. It should be a fun Week 1 matchup.
Kickoff for Texas’ season opener against Louisiana-Lafayette is at 4:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
