Former Texas Star LaMarcus Aldridge Set To Return To Home State, Will Sign Max Deal With San Antonio Spurs

Before emerging as one of the top power forwards in the NBA with the Portland Trail Blazers, LaMarcus Aldridge was a star for Rick Barnes' Texas Longhorns. Aldridge spent two seasons in Austin from 2004-2006, averaging 15 points, 9.2 rebounds, and two blocks per game as a sophomore. Aldridge became one of the premiere free agents available this off-season, and announced today that he will return to his home state to play for the San Antonio Spurs. Yahoo!'s Adrian Wojnarowski first broke the news.

A starting lineup of Tony Parker, Danny Green, Kawhi Leonard, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Tim Duncan is pretty terrifying. We assume the Longhorns/Spurs fans down the in the Lone Star State are pretty pumped.
