Four-star cornerback Joshua Eaton has had his top five schools in mind for a while now. After more than two months to come to a decision, it appears he's ready to make his announcement.

Last Thursday, Eaton cryptically tweeted out "August 23" - indicating that he could be picking his college on Friday. Back in June, Eaton revealed his top five list, consisting of Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Alabama and Florida.

247Sports rates Eaton as the No. 335 overall prospect in the country. He is the No. 28 cornerback in the nation, and the No. 51 recruit from the state of Texas.

Eaton earned all-district honors in his junior year at Aldine MacArthur High School in Texas.

According to BurntOrangeNation, Eaton initially planned to announce the decision earlier this month. Had he done so, Texas A&M was considered the most likely selection.

Since then, the Longhorns have become the prohibitive favorite to secure his commitment. His only visits this year have been to Texas and Texas A&M.

Though he has yet to take an official visit, he has made multiple visits to both schools in the past 12 months.

247Sports' Crystal Ball Predictions currently give the Longhorns the edge to land him. All 11 analysts have predicted him to land in Austin.
