Mack Brown Takes To Twitter To Defend Himself After Recruit's Words

All positive huh?

Monday, it was reported by Houston's ABC affiliate KTRK that former Texas head coach Mack Brown, just after he resigned, told one UT commit, Lamar High School safety John Bonney, that he should "look around" at other schools before deciding on playing his college ball in Austin. Tuesday, Brown took to Twitter to defend himself and set the record straight.

For reference, here's video of the interview with Bonney.

If what Bonney claims is true, it's certainly admirable that Brown wants to make sure each player does what's best for him. At the same time, it's a dangerous set of words to throw around, given the nature of college athletics. Regardless, Brown appears to just want to put the matter behind him.
