Derrick Johnson and Jordan Shipley both had standout careers for Texas, but this weekend they are being honored for their play from before they made it to Austin. Both former Longhorns are members of the eight-person class being inducted into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame. Naturally, they took a picture while throwing up the "hook 'em horns" sign.

Johnson, now a Kansas City Chief, was a two-time consensus All-American and the 2004 winner of the Dick Butkus, Bronco Nagurski, and Jack Lambert awards. Shipley caught 248 career passes for a total of 3,191 yards and 33 touchdowns during his collegiate career.
