Report: Mack Brown Will Coach Texas In The Alamo Bowl, Then Resign From Head Coaching Duties

A turn of events.

Update: Texas has issued a statement from Mack Brown:

Earlier: Last night, at Texas' senior football banquet, head coach Mack Brown indicated that his status as coach of the Longhorns had not yet changed, and he was still anticipating being the head man at UT. However, it appears that he has had a change of heart tonight -- ESPN's Longhorn Network is reporting that Brown has informed his team and recruits that he will be resigning after the season. However, he will still coach the team in the Alamo Bowl.

The Longhorns take on the Oregon Ducks in the Alamo Bowl on December 30th on ESPN -- you won't want to miss Mack Brown's last stand.
