Report: Texas Not Interested In Former A&M Quarterback Kyler Murray

Late in the 2015 recruiting cycle, Texas A&M quarterback Kyler Murray, a five-star recruit, had a serious overture with the Texas Longhorns. He would go on to sign with and play a season for the Aggies, but after he was granted his release from the program, some wondered whether UT could be a destination. The Longhorns have quarterback issues, and A&M is only blocking him from schools in the SEC and on its schedule through 2019. Texas obviously does not fall under either category.

However, according to Rivals writer Anwar Richardson, Texas will not pursue Murray.

Murray is undeniably talented, but some fans will probably say they didn't want the headache anyway. We bet whichever fan base lands Murray will be quite happy, at the end of the day. Time will tell if he works out.
