Texas might want to cover its tight ends in bubble wrap and store them somewhere safe until the season starts.
On Wednesday, we learned that Longhorns’ four-star tight end Devonaire Clarington is not yet eligible. He has to re-take the ACT. Clarington isn’t the only TE Charlie Strong’s team could be without this year. According to multiple reports, sophomore tight end Blake Whiteley tore his ACL at practice and will miss the 2015 season.
Texas might have to rely on freshman DeAndre McNeal, a three-star recruit in the 2015 class.
Sounds like DeAndre McNeal is about to get plenty of reps going forward. Garrett Gray too.
