Shaka Smart Trolled Kansas During His Introductory Press Conference At Texas

Shaka Smart's introductory press conference at Texas is currently taking place.

It didn't take the 37-year-old Longhorns' coach very long to take a subtle shot at his conference rival, Kansas.

During the session with the media, Smart was asked how he thinks his up-tempo, pressing style of play will fit in the Big 12. The new Texas coach responded by reminding everyone of what took place on March 28, 2011.

Smart is, of course, referencing the 2011 NCAA Tournament Elite Eight game between VCU and Kansas. The Rams won that contest, 71-61, defeating the No. 1-seeded Jayhawks to reach the Final Four.

It seems like Smart is going to fit in just fine in Austin.
