Texas quarterback Shane Buechele won Big 12 Newcomer of the Week honors for leading the Longhorns past Notre Dame.
It’s an incredible feat when you consider he theoretically shouldn’t exist at all.
You see, Buechele was born after his father, longtime MLB infielder and Texas Rangers bench coach Steve Buechele, had a vasectomy. The “oops baby” of his family, Buechele had no problem joking about the situation with reporters on Monday.
Shane Buechele, on being born after his dad's vasectomy: "I don't know if it's an accomplishment, but I'm glad to be here."

No idea how this topic came up again, or which writer asked Buechele about it, but he has a good sense of humor about it.
We don’t think his family regrets his existence at this point, either.
