Texas schools don’t lose out on in-state prospects very often. Shemar Turner is expected to land with either the Longhorns or Aggies. But distance doesn’t appear to be an issue for the talented edge rusher – Turner includes schools both on the East and West Coast.
The four-star prospect had a productive junior year last season for DeSoto High School, compiling 54 tackles to go along with 10 tackles for loss and eight sacks. Many expect Turner’s recruiting stock to improve throughout his senior season this fall.
Turner’s recruitment is just starting to heat up with the college football off-season in full swing.
