The future of the Texas men's basketball program is currently a bit cloudy.
On Friday, it was reported that Rick Barnes is not expected to be back as the Longhorns' head coach. Barnes, 60, has been leading the Texas program since 1998; during his reign, the team has been to 16 NCAA Tournaments, two Elite Eights and one Final Four. Lately, though, the program has been trending downward, and Barnes reportedly is not willing to make the changes to his staff the administration believes is necessary.
Thankfully for the Longhorns, Kerwin Roach, a four-star shooting guard in the 2015 class committed to Texas, remains loyal to the program during this period of uncertainty.

That's, obviously, a good sign for the Texas program. Holding onto Roach - the No. 51 player in the country, according to 247 Sports' Composite Rankings - is a must for whoever is leading the Longhorns.
