Texas DC Vance Bedford Would Not Support Longhorns Wearing Alternate Uniforms, Calls Them 'Clown Suits'

According to Texas defensive coordinator Vance Bedford, more than 75 college football teams will sport "clown suits" at least once this season.

During today's session with the media, Bedford, 56, was asked about the idea of Texas wearing an alternate uniform.

Tons of other teams do. Oregon is the program most known for its crazy, vibrant uniform concepts, but classic programs like Florida State, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Nebraska have each worn a different-looking uniform at some point this season.

Bedford is 100 percent against Texas doing something similar.

Who are they, Bedford asks?

The majority of the teams that sport alternate uniforms might not be as classic a program as Texas, but they're likely having a better 2014. The Longhorns, after all, are 4-5 this season.

Texas is set to face West Virginia Saturday.
