On Thursday, four-star cornerback Joshua Eaton hinted on social media that a major announcement was coming soon. Well, the Texas native didn't disappoint as he just shared where he'll be playing college football.

Eaton is the No. 28 cornerback and No. 51 recruit from Texas, per 247Sports. He was a first team all-district selection during his junior year at Aldine MacArthur High School.

The five schools remaining in the hunt for Eaton were Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Alabama and Florida.

Playing close to home may have contributed to his decision as Eaton is committing to Texas.

Texas learned about Eaton's decision earlier today, when he shared a video of him announcing his college decision on social media.

Here is the video he shared on Twitter:

With Eaton on board, the Longhorns have 18 commitments for their 2020 recruiting class. The top recruit from the group is five-star running back Bijan Robinson.

According to 247Sports' rankings, Texas has the No. 1 recruiting class in the Big 12 and No. 6 class overall.

Tom Herman and his coaching staff could use all the help they can get in the secondary. After this season, the Longhorns will lose senior safety Brandon Jones.

Expect the Longhorns to add a few more pieces to solidify their 2020 class.
