After a few down years for the Texas Longhorns, Tom Herman and his coaching staff led the program to a victory in the Sugar Bowl last season.
Winning the Sugar Bowl is an impressive feat in itself, but even more so when you consider Texas’ opponent. Landing an upset win over the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs is the type of accomplishment that revitalizes a program.
Sam Ehlinger didn’t hesitate to announce that Texas is back in terms of being a contender. He certainly rose to the challenge back on New Year’s Day with three rushing touchdowns.
It’s been roughly six months since the Longhorns defeated the Bulldogs, so it might be time to place that win in the rearview mirror. However, not before the players get to showcase their incredible Sugar Bowl rings.
Texas released a video of its players’ reactions when they received their rings. It’s safe to say each member of the Longhorns was impressed with their latest piece of jewelry.

The Longhorns will try to defeat another SEC powerhouse this fall when they host the LSU Tigers in September.
As for the season opener, Texas will host Louisiana Tech to kick off its 2019 campaign.
