Texas Guard Myck Kabongo Suspended For Season

Sorry Longhorn fans.

Scoop: The NCAA will suspend sophomore guard Myck Kabongo for the rest of the 2012-13 season, according to Yahoo Sports.

Significance: Kabongo, a 2011 McDonald's All American, will serve a season-long ban that is similar to what Dez Bryant received at Oklahoma State in 2009.

Story: The Longhorns got some bad news after their upset victory over No. 23 North Carolina last night. The team learned it will have to play without its most talented player, Myck Kabongo, for the rest of season. According to sources close to the program, Kobongo provided inaccurate information when he was interviewed by NCAA investigators about receiving impermissible benefits from NBA agent Rich Paul.

It doesn't look like Jay Bilas agrees with the NCAA's decision.
