The Texas Longhorns are coming off one of their best seasons in nearly a decade thanks in large part to a breakout campaign by Sam Ehlinger. Heading into his third year with the team, Ehlinger is getting plenty of hype from the school.

On Sunday the Longhorns released a hype video for Ehlinger calling him the "Touchdown Machine" and highlighting several huge plays and milestones he achieved last year. He finished his sophomore season with 25 touchdowns and only five interceptions.

Ehlinger also proved to be formidable on the ground, adding another 16 touchdowns despite only averaging 2.9 yards per carry. Six of those touchdowns came in upset wins over Oklahoma and Georgia.

With 36 passing touchdowns so far, he could easily move into the top five on Texas' all-time leaderboard before the end of the season.

The Longhorns will enter the 2019 season with their eyes on the Big 12 championship, hoping to claim it for the first time since 2008.

A trip to the College Football Playoff would probably be a nice prize as well.

While surpassing Colt McCoy's passing and total offense records with the Longhorns may be just a bit out of reach for Ehlinger, he still has time to do what the Texas legend couldn't: Win a national championship.
