The 2014 season marks the beginning of a new era in Texas football history. The Longhorns, who saw former head coach Mack Brown step down after another subpar (by UT standards) campaign, are full of optimism as they head into their first year under Charlie Strong. Texas, which hasn't won double-digit games since back in 2009, is looking to get itself back to the top of the Big 12 and once again become a national championship contender.
Today, in honor of the fact that there are just 50 days left before Texas' first game, the school released a quick two-minute hype video ahead of Strong's first campaign. The theme, as you'd guess, is "A New Era Is Here".
The Longhorns have one of the nation's harder non-conference schedules in 2014, getting North Texas, BYU and UCLA before taking on all nine Big 12 foes. They'll need to gel quickly if they're going to compete with Baylor and Oklahoma for a conference title.
