Texas vs. North Texas—Game Time, TV Schedule, Line, Predictions
The Charlie Strong Era takes off at Texas on Saturday. The Longhorns, coming off an 8-5 season in Mack Brown’s final year, begin their 2014 campaign against in-state competitor North Texas. In the minds of most, Texas trails Oklahoma, Baylor, and Kansas State in the Big 12 title race, but some are projecting the Longhorns to seriously compete for a conference championship.

TV Channel: The Longhorn Network
Location: Darrel K. Royal Stadium, Austin, Texas
Betting Line: Texas -25.5 (vegasinsider.com)
Prediction: Texas will begin its first season under Strong with an easy win. North Texas, which went 9-4 last season, lost a decent amount of its key contributors. Longhorns quarterback David Ash shouldn’t have too much trouble guiding his offense against a Mean Green defense that only allowed 17.8 points per game in 2013.
